Bárbara Jankavski, the Brazilian influencer known as the “Human Barbie” for undergoing 27 plastic surgeries, has died under suspicious circumstances at 31.
Authorities confirmed her death on November 2 in São Paulo, where she was found in her underwear with injuries to her left eye and back. Police say she spent the night with 51-year-old public defender Renato Campos Pinto de Vitto, who admitted hiring her for “sexual services.” Both reportedly took illicit substances before she became unresponsive.
De Vitto told investigators he noticed she wasn’t moving after falling asleep and called emergency services. Paramedics instructed him to perform CPR, but Jankavski was pronounced dead at the scene.
São Paulo authorities have opened a formal investigation. An autopsy and toxicology tests are underway to determine the cause of death and whether foul play was involved. A friend of De Vitto’s claimed her injuries came from a fall earlier that day, though this is unconfirmed.
Online, Jankavski, also known as “Boneca Desumana” (“Inhuman Doll”), had over 400,000 followers fascinated by her extreme cosmetic transformations. Fans have flooded her social media with tributes. Police have not yet released autopsy results, and the investigation remains active.
