Bethany Provencher is one such person — a single mom with an 11-year-old son who moved from Miami to St. Charles, Illinois, seeking a fresh start. With 25 years in customer service, she landed a job at a local IHOP but still struggled to furnish her new apartment.
Then, just before the New Year, a celebrity couple sat in her section: singer Donnie Wahlberg and his wife, Jenny McCarthy. Bethany, a longtime fan, was thrilled to serve them — unaware her life was about to change.
