Breastfeeding is an act that every mother and child go through after the delivery but some women are more fond of the act than others.
The benefits of nursing your child during the early months of life are plenty but what one person must remember is that there’s a lot more to the ordeal than just that. After all, doctors don’t recommend doing it for years and years because a child needs to move on from that phase to a new one.
It’s all a part of life but despite all of this, one mother says she’s not going to go by the books when it comes to feeding her child. Her goal is to be a very hands-on mom and do things that she thinks and feels are right. And in this case, that includes not stopping the breastfeeding, until and unless her child thinks he’s ready to let go.
When questioned about when she thinks is the right time for that, she denied to comment and added how it’s going to happen a lot more in the foreseeable future.
“People think I am crazy for doing this but that’s because all they’re good at is judging. I want them to know that it’s not at all right to interfere in my business. After all, who knows my son more than me!”- she further elaborated.
After sharing her story on Mumsnet, netizens who mostly comprised of other mothers going through a similar phase felt it was time she let go and allowed her child to function without her support.
Some went to the extent of calling that decision ridiculous and deemed her to be a child abuser for such actions. But no matter what, this mother claims she’s doing nothing wrong and the bond and benefits are too good to miss out on by her child.
