Donald Trump’s MRI scan sparked concerns about his health, though White House doctors and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt insist he is not seriously ill. In October, the White House revealed that Trump underwent “advanced imaging, laboratory testing, and preventive health assessments.” His physician, Sean Barbabella, reported excellent results, noting stable metabolic, hematologic, and cardiac markers, as well as a cardiac age about 14 years younger than Trump’s actual age. Trump later told reporters his MRI was “perfect” and among the best results doctors had seen for his age.
Despite this, questions persisted about why the MRI was needed. On Wednesday, Leavitt reiterated that Trump “remains in exceptional physical health,” addressing concerns about recent photos showing swollen ankles and bruised hands. She said radiologists and consultants fully reviewed the imaging and confirmed his good health.
Some experts remain skeptical. Former White House doctor Jeffrey Kuhlman suggested Trump may be hiding something, arguing that the timeline of his visit to Walter Reed doesn’t align with claims that the tests were routine and quick.
