Shocking reports are speaking about a double-decker bus crashing into a bus shelter in Stockholm’s Ostermalm area.
The incident resulted in the death of three people and the injury of several others. The crash took place during the mid-afternoon hours near the Royal Institute of Technology. This bus was said not to be carrying any passengers at the time, other than the driver himself, because it was out of service.

The driver was arrested and is now being investigated for involuntary manslaughter, while the precise cause of this crash is still under review.
Eyewitnesses spoke about scenes of chaos, and people were screaming. Wounded victims were seen lying on the ground, and frantic efforts to assist were also on the go.
One student nurse shared how, despite being injured herself, she used a bag to apply pressure to a bleeding victim until emergency services arrived. Another mentioned that there was total chaos with bodies lying on the floor.

Emergency and rescue teams, including the likes of ambulances, rescue workers, and the cops, replied quickly. They were cordoning off the area and working to treat the injured.
The Swedish prime minister expressed deep sorrow regarding this matter, noting how some of the victims might have been on their way home or planning silent evenings to spend with loved ones. As per the authorities, there’s yet to be any kind of evidence linked to terrorist behavior.
