Donald Trump and Jimmy Kimmel’s long-running feud has flared up again.
“Hurricane Epstein”
The latest clash began after Kimmel mocked Trump in his Wednesday monologue, joking that newly expected Epstein court documents were a “Category 5” storm heading straight for the former president. In a YouTube clip titled Trump Braces for Hurricane Epstein, Kimmel pushed the joke further, implying viewers were getting “one step closer” to answers about what Trump knew—despite offering no evidence.
Trump quickly fired back on Truth Social, attacking both Kimmel and ABC, calling the host talentless with “very poor ratings” and demanding the network take him off the air.
Their renewed spat comes as Congress advances the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which passed the House 427–1 and the Senate unanimously. Kimmel joked the vote was such a “landslide” that Trump might want to “rebury” the files. In fact, Trump had already signed the bill hours earlier.
The dust-up also follows Kimmel’s recent brief suspension from ABC after controversial remarks about Charlie Kirk. He returned without apologizing, taking more shots at critics—including Trump.
Trump has similarly lashed out at other late-night hosts, recently urging NBC to fire Seth Meyers. Tensions grew further this week when ABC’s Mary Bruce questioned Trump about the Epstein case during a tense Oval Office news conference, leading Trump to call her a “terrible reporter.” Days earlier, he referred to a Bloomberg reporter as “piggy” aboard Air Force One.
By Wednesday, the White House escalated the fight, issuing a letter blasting ABC and accusing the network of acting as a “Democrat spin operation masquerading as a broadcast network.”
