‘Who Are You?’ I Asked the Stranger in My Bed, and He Said, ‘Your Husband’ — Story of the Day

Posted on January 22, 2025 By admin

One night, I came home and lay beside my husband, only to wake up and find a stranger in his place. He claimed to be my husband’s brother, Alex Cherry, and revealed a shocking truth: my real husband, Todd, had been impersonating him.

I had been living without family after losing my mother and never knowing my father. But a DNA test led me to my grandfather, Zachary, who explained that my father had died in a car accident before he could reach out to me. My grandfather offered me a job at his publishing company, and I moved in with him.

After my grandfather’s health declined, we hired Mary as his caretaker, and through her, I met Alex. We fell in love and married quickly, but things took a dark turn when I came home to find Todd in my bed, pretending to be Alex. He revealed that he had been using Alex’s identity to manipulate me and plot to steal from my grandfather’s company.

With Alex’s help, the police arrested Todd and Mary for their crimes. I later annulled my marriage to Todd and eventually married the real Alex.

Lesson: Take time to truly know people and don’t rush into relationships without trust.
