King Charles, who hosted Donald Trump during his 2024 UK state visit, is now reportedly planning to visit the US next year—even as concerns continue about his ongoing cancer battle. The trip is expected to take place in April 2026, ahead of America’s 250th Independence Day celebrations. According to The Sun, Charles has accepted Trump’s invitation and will travel with Queen Camilla for what’s described as a “lavish state visit.”
The news has raised questions about the King’s health, as he is still undergoing treatment for the cancer diagnosed in early 2024. During a recent hospital visit in Birmingham, Charles spoke openly with cancer patients about aging and the challenges of treatment, joking that “bits don’t work so well past 70” and saying he was “not too bad” when asked about his recovery.
Meanwhile, the King is also reportedly shaken by developments involving his brother, Prince Andrew, who has been stripped of all royal titles due to the Epstein scandal.
Although Charles remains dedicated to his duties, royal insiders claim his cancer may be incurable. Journalist Camilla Tominey wrote that the monarch may “die with cancer, not of it,” suggesting long-term concerns about his health and future engagements.
