A body has been retrieved near the residence of Camila Mendoza Olmos, who is the 19-year-old who disappeared after leaving her Texas home early Christmas Eve.
On Tuesday, the County Sheriff mentioned how authorities found a body in a field that was close to Olmos’ residence.
Salazar mentioned how it was too early to confirm if the body belonged to Olmos. However, they don’t suspect any foul play.
He mentioned that one possibility authorities are looking into is self-harm, and there were some indications that the body they found was a result of this.
He later shared that there were also some undiagnosed signs of depression for Olmos.
From what has been described to us, it sounded like it was a young person going through a very tough time in their life, going through emotional issues and other indications of suicidal ideation.
