A man from San Diego is now facing murder charges for the death of his partner after he allegedly drove his truck into the residence on purpose.
62-year-old Stephen Coates was arrested and is accused of crashing the truck and starting a fire inside the home in the city’s Bay Park neighborhood, as per the police.

His wife called 911 just after 7:30 am local time that day to report that her partner had crashed his pickup into the residence.
Neighbors also called to report the collision, and one shared how they heard screams coming from inside the residence after the crash.

Police were seen arriving within 10 minutes, and they tried to call out the residents, but there was no reply.
Officers could see a small fire and smoke coming from inside the home, prompting them to enter and check the welfare of those inside. Sadly, they found the wife dead inside the primary bedroom with severe injuries and burns.
