A 2-year-old baby girl has tragically died after falling into a pond during a family Christmas gathering.
Isobel Wallace passed away on Christmas Day on Thursday, her aunt shared on a page that was created to help the child’s parents cover expenses and create a memorial fairy garden for their late daughter.
Maxwell shared how Isobel wandered away from the family’s Christmas celebrations in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, and fell into the pond in a nearby garden, just a few moments later.
‘It’s just so hard for me to try and communicate this and go over this living nightmare of our innocent darling girl being taken away from us’- Maxwell shared in a post. They also added how they still cannot come to terms with the fact that the child is no longer here.
Isobel was called the happiest, most smiling, adventurous, and curious little girl of the family.
The family member added how the pond where she died had a temporary fence around it, in a garden she would have never accessed alone. Despite CPR attempts until the ambulance arrived, she sadly couldn’t be saved.
