The actress best known for playing Miss Mann in the 2000 hit Scary Movie has passed away. Jayne Trcka died last month at the age of 62 at her home in San Diego, California.
According to the San Diego Medical Examiner’s office, there was trauma to her body, though the cause of death has not yet been determined. Reports say she was found in her kitchen by a friend after failing to respond to calls. Her son was reportedly unaware of any health conditions that may have contributed to her sudden passing.
In addition to acting, Trcka was well known in the bodybuilding world, competing professionally in the 1980s and appearing in major fitness magazines. She also appeared on The Drew Carey Show and Whose Line Is It Anyway?, later working in real estate. Scary Movie marked her acting debut, and she became a memorable character in the franchise, with a sixth installment set to release later this year.
