In a story being called a modern-day miracle, Kentucky mom Amanda Foster says her unborn baby was touched by the “hand of God,” as seen in an ultrasound.
Foster, 33, lost her first son Xavier at 20 weeks and feared she’d never have a healthy boy, as Potter syndrome—a life-threatening kidney condition—runs more common in males. She later had two healthy daughters and welcomed her first son, Jay, in August 2022.
During her current pregnancy with another boy, Kyler, doctors found a serious heart defect. Before ultrasounds, Foster prayed over him, asking God for protection. At a scan, her daughter Bailey noticed what looked like a giant hand cradling Kyler’s head in the image. Foster shared the moment on Facebook, moved to tears.
By 36 weeks, Kyler was healthy and over seven pounds. For Amanda, the ultrasound symbolizes hope, faith, and healing after loss.
