Tanner Martin, a devoted husband, father, and influencer, passed away at 30 after bravely documenting his battle with colon cancer. Diagnosed at 25 with stage 4 cancer that had already spread to his liver, he endured years of surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation, sharing his journey online with honesty, humor, and heart.
In a now-viral prerecorded video, Tanner announced his own death to comfort his followers, saying: “If you’re watching this, I am dead.” Despite the terminal diagnosis, he and his wife Shay celebrated life’s joys, including the birth of their daughter, AmyLou.
Tanner’s illness began with digestive issues in 2020, eventually leading to the discovery of a large tumor. Over the next five years, he underwent more than 50 rounds of chemotherapy, numerous surgeries, and weeks of radiation. Even in hospice, Tanner stayed engaged, creating viral content on supporting terminally ill loved ones.
