Posted on April 6, 2026 By admin

Jane Morgan, the elegant American singer known for her hit “Fascination,” has died at 101. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday in hospice care in Naples, Florida.

Born Florence Catherine Currier on May 3, 1924, in Massachusetts, Morgan studied at Juilliard and rose to fame singing in Paris nightclubs in the late 1940s. “Fascination” (1957) became her signature song, launching a successful U.S. career with appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show, Perry Como, and Dean Martin shows.

Morgan recorded dozens of albums blending pop and standards, performed for U.S. presidents, and appeared at the Oscars. She married music manager Jerry Weintraub in 1965, had four children, and lived a quiet life in Florida after retiring.
