New messages have emerged in the case of Nancy Guthrie, with an anonymous sender again claiming to have information about her alleged kidnappers—this time demanding payment, according to TMZ.
The sender, who has contacted media for nearly two months, asked for 1 bitcoin in exchange for revealing those responsible, later claiming they saw Nancy alive in Sonora—despite previously stating she was dead.
The messages were shared with the FBI, but authorities remain skeptical. There’s been no activity in the bitcoin account, suggesting the claims aren’t considered credible.
More recently, the sender lowered their demand to half a bitcoin upfront and the rest after an arrest, insisting they had no involvement and just want “what’s fair.” Still, investigators appear unconvinced.
