Some people should never be around animals.
In Seymour, Indiana, English Mastiff named Jackson came home from the backyard covered in what looked like bug bites. But his owner, Hayden Howard, quickly realized something far worse—his body was filled with holes from BB gun pellets.
“I was in shock,” she said. Vets discovered BBs and pellets throughout his body, even near his eye and ear. They removed dozens, but some had to remain.
In total, Jackson was hit by nearly 70 pellets.
Police traced the shots to a neighbor’s yard, where a BB gun was found. A suspect, Tom Woodward, was arrested as investigations continue.
Despite the cruelty, Jackson is now recovering.
