Veteran ‘General Hospital’ and ‘JAG’ actor Rif Hutton dies at 73!

Veteran actor Rif Hutton, known for roles in General Hospital and JAG, has died at 73 after battling glioblastoma, his wife confirmed. He passed away at home in Pasadena, California.

Hutton was a respected character actor with memorable roles in shows like Doogie Howser, M.D., where he played Dr. Ron Welch, as well as appearances in many popular series over decades. He also had a strong voice-acting career, contributing to films like Shark Tale and Hotel Transylvania.

Born in 1952, he discovered his passion for acting early and built a long career in television and film, with his final appearances airing in 2024–2025.

Friends and colleagues remembered him as a humble, hardworking, and remarkable person.
