Sally Field, a Hollywood legend known for films like Forrest Gump, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Steel Magnolias, recently revealed the worst on-screen kiss of her career.
Appearing on Watch What Happens Live, the 76-year-old actress admitted it was with her then-boyfriend Burt Reynolds during filming of Smokey and the Bandit. She said the experience was awkward, even joking that she had to “look the other way” during their scenes together.
Field and Reynolds met in 1977, dated for about five years, and later had a complicated breakup. Reynolds later expressed regret about their relationship, while Field said she eventually cut contact because he was “not good” for her emotionally.
Despite a difficult past, Field continues to work actively in film and television, maintaining her status as one of Hollywood’s most respected actresses.
