Beau Starr, the veteran actor known for roles in Halloween IV, Halloween V, and Goodfellas, has died at 81 from natural causes in Vancouver, his brother confirmed.
Before acting, he briefly played football in the NFL and CFL before moving into entertainment. He later built a long career in film and TV, debuting in Hanky Panky (1982) and gaining recognition as Sheriff Ben Meeker in the Halloween franchise and as Henry Hill’s father in Goodfellas.
Starr also appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including Speed, Born on the Fourth of July, and the series Due South, where he had a long-running role.
He is remembered by family and colleagues as a warm, positive person who deeply appreciated his fans.
