‘Northern Exposure’ Star Passed Away At 67

Diane Delano, the beloved actress known for iconic roles in television and film, passed away at 67 on December 13, 2024, from cancer at her Sherman Oaks, California home. Her death was confirmed by her friend, Stepfanie Kramer.

Born on January 29, 1956, in Los Angeles, Diane’s versatile acting career spanned TV and film. She gained recognition in the 1980s with roles in shows like Falcon Crest and Hunter. Her big break came in the 1990s with her role as Sergeant Barbara Semanski in Northern Exposure, where she appeared in 12 episodes. In 1999, she became a fan favorite as Coach Sue Sylvester in the cult classic Popular.

Diane also appeared in films like The Wicker Man (2006) and Jeepers Creepers 2 (2003), and guest-starred in series such as The X-Files, ER, CSI, and Bones. Her final project, Paradise: A Town of Sinners and Saints, was released in 2024, marking her last appearance on screen.

Diane’s legacy in both dramatic and comedic roles will be remembered fondly by fans and colleagues. Rest in peace, Diane—your talent and joy will never be forgotten.
