Beloved ‘Laugh-In’ Comedian Passed Away At 88!

Ruth Buzzi, best known for playing Gladys Ormphby on the classic comedy show Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In, has died at the age of 88. She passed away peacefully at her Texas home after battling Alzheimer’s disease and receiving hospice care.

Buzzi became a television icon as the only cast member to appear in every episode of Laugh-In, earning a Golden Globe and multiple Emmy nominations. Throughout her career, she also appeared on Broadway, in films, and voiced characters in animated shows like The Smurfs and Sesame Street. She retired from acting in 2021 after facing several health challenges, including strokes and Alzheimer’s disease.
