For nearly three weeks, an 8-year-old girl kept telling her mother the same thing every night: “My bed feels too tight.”
At first, her mom thought it was just childish imagination. The bed looked normal, and even after changing the mattress, the complaint continued.
Worried, she installed a security camera in the room. Most nights looked normal — until one night, she noticed something strange: the mattress subtly shifted, as if something underneath was pushing it up.
Panicking, she rushed to the room. Everything looked fine in person, but the camera had shown otherwise. Looking closer, she lifted the mattress and found a hidden electronic device connected by a thin tube under the bed.
She immediately moved her daughter and called the authorities. Investigators later said the device had likely been placed during a maintenance visit.
The child’s repeated feeling that the bed was “tight” wasn’t imagination — it was a real warning. Thanks to the mother trusting her instincts, a serious hidden issue was discovered in time.
