Twenty-five years after The Fast and the Furious changed action cinema, Vin Diesel reunited with Meadow Walker at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival to celebrate the franchise’s anniversary.
Meadow, the daughter of late actor Paul Walker, joined Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster for an emotional photo call and screening of the original 2001 film.
Fans were touched by the warm bond between Vin and Meadow, who embraced on the red carpet. During the screening, Vin became emotional while speaking about Paul, recalling their close friendship and praising Meadow as “a source of strength.” He told her publicly that her father “would be so proud.”
Their relationship has remained strong since Paul Walker’s death in 2013. Vin, who is Meadow’s godfather, even walked her down the aisle at her 2021 wedding.
The event also celebrated the future of the franchise, with Vin confirming the final film, “Fast Forever,” is set for release in 2028.
