Grease is one of the most iconic musicals of all time, filled with unforgettable songs, dance moves, and the love story between Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson. When the movie was released in 1978, fans everywhere fell in love with Danny, played by John Travolta, in his famous leather jacket.
The film follows Danny and Sandy’s summer romance, which they think is over when Sandy returns to Australia—until she unexpectedly appears at his school. Though Danny first acts cool in front of his friends, he soon can’t hide his feelings for her.
Forty years later, Travolta appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and revealed how one of Grease’s famous dance moves was created. He explained that he suggested using the “four corners” dance for “You’re the One That I Want.”
When Jimmy Fallon asked him to demonstrate it live, Travolta proved he still had the moves fans remember and love.
Watching him dance again brought back memories for fans everywhere—and showed that he’s still got it.
