Newborn baby needs 13 stitches after surgeon ripped open her face during C-section!

Posted on May 16, 2026 By admin

Reazjhana Williams from Denver expected a natural birth in 2021, but doctors rushed her into an emergency C-section after they couldn’t detect her baby’s heartbeat. When her daughter Kyanni was born, the newborn had a deep cut across her face, shocking both parents.

Kyanni was immediately taken to a plastic surgeon and required 13 stitches. Doctors reportedly explained that the baby’s head was positioned close to the placenta wall during the emergency procedure, causing the injury.

Reazjhana said she struggled to understand how the accident happened, while the family described the situation as heartbreaking. Denver Health later stated that facial lacerations are a known complication in emergency C-sections and that patient safety remains their top priority.

A GoFundMe page was later created to help the family cover medical expenses as baby Kyanni recovered from the traumatic birth.
