Amy Earnhardt recently shared a funny story from the early days of dating NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr. During their podcast, she recalled wanting to meet singer Jessica Simpson after hearing she was at the racetrack around 2008 or 2009. But when Amy asked Dale to introduce them, he quickly refused.
Dale then showed her an interview where Simpson joked that she had dreamed she and Dale were married. Amy admitted the story instantly changed her feelings, joking that she didn’t want Simpson anywhere near her man and even stopped buying Jessica Simpson products afterward.
Today, the story is something the couple laughs about. Jessica Simpson later married former NFL player Eric Johnson, while Amy and Dale married in 2016 and now share two daughters. Dale has often spoken publicly about how much he loves family life and being surrounded by his wife and daughters.
