Lauren Chapin, best known for playing Kathy “Kitten” Anderson on the classic TV show Father Knows Best, has passed away at the age of 80.
Chapin starred as the youngest Anderson child throughout the show’s six-season run and later returned for a reunion special in 1977. After her success on the beloved sitcom, she appeared in several television shows and films before stepping away from Hollywood for many years.
In addition to acting, Chapin managed artists, including her daughter, singer Summer Healy-Chapin, remained active in her church, and authored two books. She also dedicated much of her life to helping children, raising more than $2 million for underprivileged and abused youth.
Remembered for her role in one of America’s most cherished family sitcoms, Lauren Chapin leaves behind a legacy of entertainment, faith, and compassion. ❤️🙏
