Longtime Boston Lead Singer, Dead At 60!

Posted on June 7, 2026 By admin

Tommy DeCarlo, longtime lead singer of the rock band Boston, has died at the age of 60 after battling brain cancer. His wife Annie and children, Talia and Tommy Jr., confirmed that he passed away on March 9, 2026, following a courageous fight after his diagnosis in September 2025.

DeCarlo became Boston’s lead vocalist in 2008 after being discovered online by band founder Tom Scholz. A devoted fan of the band, he gained attention by posting tribute performances honoring original singer Brad Delp.

He went on to perform Boston classics like “More Than a Feeling,” “Peace of Mind,” and “Don’t Look Back,” while touring worldwide and appearing on the band’s 2013 album Life, Love & Hope.

Known for his powerful voice and inspiring journey from fan to frontman, Tommy DeCarlo leaves behind a lasting legacy in rock music and the hearts of Boston fans around the world. ❤️🎸
