Stage 4 cancer patient warns overlooked minor sign can mask fatal disease!

Posted on June 8, 2026 By admin
Susan Schmidt, a 47-year-old mother of two from Australia, was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in 2023 after initially dismissing subtle symptoms. Before her diagnosis, she experienced extreme fatigue, constipation, and severe abdominal pain, but never noticed blood in her stool.

Doctors initially found nothing unusual in her blood and stool tests, but a colonoscopy later revealed a tumor. Further scans showed the cancer had spread to her uterus, pelvic lymph nodes, and lung, making it incurable.

Now living with stage 4 bowel cancer, Susan is sharing her story to raise awareness about early warning signs and encourage people to seek answers if something feels wrong, even when tests appear normal. She has also launched The Floozie Foundation to support cancer patients and their families across Australia while continuing her own chemotherapy treatment.
