General Hospital star Kirsten Storms’ ex-husband, Brandon Barash, has been granted an emergency restraining order amid concerns about her mental health, according to TMZ.
Barash, 46, said he requested the order after worrying about the safety and well-being of their 12-year-old daughter. In court filings, he alleged Storms, 42, has shown troubling behavior, including housing instability, financial issues, and emotional distress.
He claimed he previously loaned her $5,000 that was never repaid and said he became increasingly concerned after several incidents following their divorce and relocation to Tennessee.
Barash also alleged that in May 2025, Storms contacted him while experiencing “delusions and hallucinations” and said she could not care for their daughter during a scheduled visit. He stated his current wife helped take her to a hospital, where she was reportedly placed on a psychiatric hold.
He further claimed she later reported fears of people breaking into her apartment and suggested possible substance misuse and recurring episodes of hearing voices.
Storms, best known for playing Maxie Jones on General Hospital, has been on and off the show since 2005. She previously rose to fame on Disney Channel’s Zenon films and Days of Our Lives.
In 2025, Storms revealed she had undergone brain surgery and was later diagnosed with an aneurysm, prompting major lifestyle changes and a move to prioritize her health and her daughter.
She has since made only limited appearances on General Hospital following her return to the series earlier that year.
