Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville is once again predicting that President Donald Trump will not complete his current term, claiming he will leave office before Easter 2027.
Speaking on the Politics War Room podcast, Carville argued that Trump faces growing political challenges and could eventually choose to step down rather than endure what he believes will be a major public backlash. He also suggested that Trump is already losing interest in the presidency and is unprepared for what lies ahead politically.
The White House quickly rejected the claims, with spokesman Davis Ingle dismissing Carville’s comments and defending the president. While Carville has made similar predictions before, there is currently no indication from Trump or his administration that he plans to resign.
