Former New York Rangers star Ron Duguay is currently battling Stage IV colon cancer, which has spread to other organs.
According to his family, he has undergone multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation, and at times his condition has become life-threatening. Despite setbacks, he has recently been approved for a new clinical trial aimed at improving treatment.
His daughter says the family has been deeply involved in his care, with strong support also coming from his girlfriend, Sarah Palin, who has helped during hospital stays and medical appointments.
A GoFundMe has been launched to help cover mounting medical and travel expenses as Duguay continues his fight.
