Legendary ’70s Band’s Lead Singer Dies at 84

David Clayton-Thomas, the iconic lead singer of Blood, Sweat & Tears, has died at the age of 84.

His publicist confirmed he passed away peacefully in a Toronto hospital, though no cause of death has been announced.

Clayton-Thomas was the powerful voice behind timeless hits including “Spinning Wheel,” “And When I Die,” and “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy.” His unique style helped turn Blood, Sweat & Tears into one of the most successful bands of the late 1960s.

After overcoming a difficult childhood filled with hardship, he rose to Grammy-winning fame and later enjoyed a successful solo career. His remarkable journey and unforgettable music will continue to inspire generations.
