Prince Harry’s planned trip to the UK with Meghan Markle and their children is now uncertain after a dispute over security arrangements.
The couple had intended to travel to Britain for Invictus Games-related events in Birmingham, with Harry hoping it would also give Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet time with King Charles.
However, the UK government reportedly denied Harry’s request for police protection outside royal residences. A source said he is “distraught” and may not bring his children if their safety cannot be guaranteed.
Harry is now reconsidering whether the visit can go ahead at all, which could once again prevent King Charles from seeing his grandchildren in person.
