Boy, 4, dies day after telling mom ”under my arm hurts”

Posted on April 20, 2025 By admin

What began as a dream vacation ended in heartbreak for the Knowles family with the tragic loss of 4-year-old Jaxon.

During a short family trip to Blackpool, Jaxon began complaining of pain and feeling unwell. By the next morning, his condition had worsened—his body covered in a rash, swelling, and struggling to breathe. Despite emergency efforts and intensive care, Jaxon passed away on February 17 from meningococcal disease, a deadly form of bacterial meningitis.

Jaxon’s parents, Sammy and Jordan, are devastated. After years of IVF and miscarriages, Jaxon was their miracle baby.

Now, the family is turning their grief into purpose—raising awareness about the dangers of meningitis, which can be difficult to diagnose early due to flu-like symptoms.

In Jaxon’s honor, a fundraising page supports Meningitis Now, and Sheffield Wednesday will hold a four-minute applause at an upcoming match.

“He was everything to us,” Sammy said. “Now there’s just a void.”
