Veteran actress Priscilla Pointer, celebrated for an extraordinary career spanning more than eight decades, has passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 100, her family confirmed.
A beloved presence on stage, television, and the big screen, Pointer became widely known for portraying strong, unforgettable mother figures in classics such as Carrie, Blue Velvet, Looking for Mr. Goodbar, The Falcon and the Snowman, and the hit TV series Dallas. She also frequently appeared alongside her real-life daughter, actress Amy Irving, creating memorable performances that resonated with generations of audiences.
