Ben Jones, best known for playing Cooter Davenport on “The Dukes of Hazzard,” has died at 84. 🕊️
According to his wife, Alma Viator, Jones died Sunday after suffering a heart attack.
Jones became a beloved TV figure through his role as Cooter, appearing in 141 episodes of the hit series from 1979 to 1985.
He later entered politics and served two terms in the U.S. House of Representatives.
His wife remembered him as a man who lived a “full and happy life” and was deeply loved by many.
