Prince William to Represent King Charles at Pope Francis’ Funeral
Prince William will represent King Charles at the funeral of Pope Francis, who passed away at 88 following a stroke and heart failure. The Prince of Wales will travel to the Vatican for the significant global event on Saturday, reinforcing his growing role as a future king.
Ahead of his trip, Kensington Palace shared a sombre ANZAC Day tribute, honouring the courage and sacrifice of Australian and New Zealand service members, concluding with “Lest we forget.”
With King Charles still undergoing cancer treatment, Prince William has taken on more royal duties. Due to health concerns and Charles’ recent visit to the Pope during a state visit, the King will not attend the funeral.
