My Husband Cheated While I Cared for Our Disabled Sons — Then His Father Destroyed His Plans
For three years, my life revolved around my twin sons, Lucas and Noah, after a terrible car accident left them permanently disabled.
I handled their medications, therapy, doctor visits, wheelchairs and almost everything else.
Meanwhile, my husband Mark was always “working late.”
He promised that once he became CEO of his father’s logistics company, we would hire nurses and my life would finally become easier.
I believed him.
Until I discovered his 22-year-old secretary, Jessica.
One night, his phone lit up with a message:
“That hotel view was almost as good as you. Can’t wait for our weekend trip.”
When I confronted Mark, he admitted the affair.
Then he looked at me and said I wasn’t attractive anymore because I smelled like antiseptic and was always exhausted.
Two days later, Mark’s father, Arthur, learned the truth.
His expression changed completely.
“Tomorrow morning, Mark will come to my office,” he told me. “I’m going to make him CEO.”
I was confused.
Then Arthur smiled.
“But what happens afterward… he will never forget.”
The next morning, Mark entered the boardroom expecting the promotion of his dreams.
Arthur gave it to him.
Then he displayed hotel bills, luxury trips and expenses Mark had charged to the company while secretly seeing Jessica.
The room went silent.
Arthur looked at his son.
“You’re fired.”
But that wasn’t the end.
Arthur announced that Mark’s company shares would be transferred into a medical trust for Lucas and Noah, covering their lifelong care and full-time nurses.
Mark completely lost control.
Then he shouted something that made everyone freeze:
“I was going to put the boys in a state facility so Emily would stop dragging me down!”
I was standing in the doorway.
That was the moment I knew my marriage was over.
“I’m divorcing you,” I said.
Arthur looked at his son.
“I’m taking my grandsons’ side.”
And for the first time in three years, I felt like someone was finally protecting us.
