Three elderly friends visited their doctor for a memory test.
“What’s three times three?” he asked the first.
“274,” he replied.
The second confidently answered, “Tuesday.”
The third said, “Nine,” then added, “I used your calculator when you weren’t looking.”
Everyone laughed.
Instead of continuing the test, the doctor asked about their younger years. Their stories of building radios, traveling, and repairing clocks reminded him that memory is more than getting answers right.
Inspired, he started a weekly “Memory Circle,” where seniors could share stories, laugh, and enjoy friendship.
They still forgot things sometimes—but learned that laughter, friendship, and memories can make growing older brighter.
