Peter Byrne, Voice of Naked Eyes, Dies at 74

Peter Byrne, founding member and lead singer of the 1980s band Naked Eyes, has died at 74 after a brief illness.

Byrne was best known for hits including “Always Something There to Remind Me” and “Promises, Promises,” which became international successes.

He spent more than five decades in music, continuing to record and perform after Naked Eyes’ biggest years. He is survived by his children and siblings.

His family remembered him as a passionate musician, loving father and husband, and a deeply devoted person.
