MY HUSBAND LOOKED AT OUR NEWBORN DAUGHTER AND ASKED, “ARE YOU SURE SHE’S MINE?”
After nearly 20 hours of labor, I finally held my baby girl for the first time.
She was tiny, warm, and perfect.
But instead of smiling, Marcus stared at her pale blue eyes and blond hair.
Then he quietly asked:
“You’re sure she’s mine?”
I was devastated.
Marcus demanded a paternity test.
I agreed, even though the accusation broke something inside me.
Two days after we brought our daughter home, he packed a bag and left to stay with his parents.
A week later, his mother called and threatened to make sure I left the marriage with nothing if the baby wasn’t Marcus’s.
Then the test results arrived.
Marcus opened the envelope.
His face went pale.
“She’s mine,” he whispered.
I thought that would finally end his doubts.
Instead, something about his reaction felt wrong.
He wasn’t relieved.
He was angry.
And a few days later, I discovered why.
One night, while he slept, I looked at his phone.
What I found completely changed the story.
