Woman dyes her Great Pyreneese dog bright red so he won’t get stolen

Posted on May 9, 2025 By admin

Many dog owners fear their pets being stolen, especially rare breeds. Chloe, owner of a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees named Dandy, took a bold step to prevent that—dyeing him bright red using pet-safe, vegan dye.

Her reasoning? To deter thieves and make Dandy, a rare breed in her area, more noticeable and approachable. She also aims to educate others on safe pet dye practices through her TikTok videos, which have drawn both praise and criticism.

While some see it as attention-seeking and doubt its effectiveness, others defend Chloe, noting Dandy appears happy and well cared for. Despite the buzz, Dandy’s TikTok has been inactive since February, and recent photos show him back to his natural color—though Chloe hinted he may be red again soon.
