A tragic car crash in Georgia has left Christian Dougan mourning the loss of his entire family — his wife, Reagan, and their four young children — as communities in North Carolina and Florida grieve the devastating news.
On April 6, 2025, around 6 a.m., 27-year-old Reagan Dougan was driving her children — ages 9, 4, 2, and 3 months — along I-95 South in McIntosh County, Georgia, when their rented Jeep Cherokee collided with another vehicle and erupted in flames. All five were killed at the scene. They had been on their way to meet Christian in Florida.
Authorities report the SUV struck the rear of a sedan at high speed and then hit a guardrail. The other driver survived. The crash shut down the highway for hours and remains under investigation.
Loved ones describe Reagan as a devoted mother and vibrant friend. “Her kids were everything to her,” said family friend Christopher Butler-Jones. Neighbors in Raleigh recalled her warmth and the joy her children brought to the community.
A GoFundMe campaign, launched by Christian’s stepmother, is helping raise funds to transport the family’s remains to Florida and cover funeral costs. The outpouring of support has been immense, with tributes flooding social media.
Photographer Katrina Cusatis, who captured their maternity photos, called their love “unforgettable.” Friend Cecily Borquez remembered Reagan as “one in a million.”
The Dougan family’s legacy is one of love, joy, and deep connection — a light that touched many lives and will never be forgotten.
