I was weeks away from marrying Marvin when his best friend, Carl, started sending me flirty messages and giving me unwanted compliments. I kept my distance, not wanting to damage their lifelong friendship.
Then I overheard them talking in the garage. Marvin had asked Carl to flirt with me to see if I would cheat before the wedding.
Carl even admitted Marvin wanted him to keep trying, despite knowing I had rejected him.
Instead of confronting them immediately, I invited Carl over while Marvin was away. I wanted to hear the truth for myself.
During our conversation, Carl confessed that he had been testing me for weeks. He told Marvin I had never shown interest, but Marvin still insisted he continue.
