What began as a surprising romantic dinner ended in the most horrifying betrayal of my life—all rooted in infidelity.
After coming home from work, I was stunned to find my normally reserved husband had set up a candlelit dinner. It was unexpected and oddly perfect, though something felt off. He smiled, but it didn’t quite reach his eyes.
As we ate, his nervousness grew. When I finally asked what was going on, he dropped a bombshell: he had been having an affair—with someone from work. Worse yet, she might be pregnant with twins. I was devastated.
But it got even worse.
When I pressed him further, he made a phone call. Moments later, the front door creaked open, and in walked the woman he had cheated with—my sister.
I fainted from the shock.
When I came to, the two people I trusted most had already shattered my world. I kicked them out. Their apologies were meaningless. I spent the night in tears, hoping it was a nightmare. It wasn’t.
