The Presley family has faced tough times in recent years, especially after Lisa Marie Presley’s death in 2023. Now, Priscilla’s son, Navarone Garcia, is speaking out about his struggles.
Navarone battled addiction for years but is now clean and sharing his story to help others. With support from Michael DeLeon of Steered Straight Inc., he’s doing interviews to raise awareness.
Despite coming from a famous family, Navarone avoided the spotlight. He started using drugs in his teens, eventually becoming addicted to heroin and fentanyl. “It started with weed… by 16 or 17, I’d tried everything,” he said. His usage escalated to up to 40 times a day before he checked himself into rehab.
The 37-year-old musician, son of Priscilla Presley and Marco Garibaldi, had a 20-year age gap with his half-sister Lisa Marie, but they remained close. “We had our struggles, sometimes with the same things, but we also had great times,” he said.
Navarone remembers Lisa fondly, recalling a cloud formation on the day of her funeral that looked like her face. He also spoke about his strong bond with Priscilla, who supported him through withdrawal. “She’d ask, ‘You need some soup?’” he recalled warmly.
