Just four years ago, Cole Prochaska weighed over 585 pounds—more than his scale could measure. Now 41, he’s lost around 360 pounds through daily walking and a complete lifestyle change.
Prochaska, from Florida, had struggled with obesity since childhood, living a sedentary life and consuming about 5,000 calories daily—chips, soda, fast food, and full pizzas. “I felt pretty bad,” he admitted, hiding his loneliness behind a cheerful exterior. Health issues and a failing relationship pushed him to change.
He began by walking just a few blocks, gradually building to 10,000 steps a day. He overhauled his diet, cutting junk food and sugary drinks, focusing on protein and portion control. “It was just me making up my mind that this is it,” he said.
By 2023, he’d transformed his body but still battles the emotional and physical toll of excess skin. “I’m still trapped,” he shared on his GoFundMe page, which has raised over $81,000 toward his $100,000 goal for skin removal surgery.
Despite ongoing challenges, Cole remains committed and continues sharing his journey online to inspire others. “Keep going, keep walking… I’m living proof,” he tweets, emphasizing that his weight loss was entirely natural—no surgery, no shortcuts.
