Sofia, a wealthy woman, insults Chloe, an old classmate working as a shop assistant. To her shock, her husband Tom enters the store with his mistress. After a tense confrontation, Tom offers Sofia money to make up for his affair. Chloe discovers Tom’s plan to frame Sofia for his financial crimes and warns her.
Sofia, distraught over Tom’s cruelty, tries to confront him but is offered a bribe instead. She leaves, accepting Chloe’s offer of help. Chloe later overhears Tom discussing how he plans to pin the fraud on Sofia to avoid jail time. With Chloe’s intervention, the police arrest Tom, and Sofia realizes she’s stronger than she thought, especially now that she’s expecting a child.
Chloe vows to support her as Sofia begins to take control of her life.
